Others might be familiar with her passion and advocacy for promoting and inspiring women in poker. MPC fans might know her for recently winning Teams Event for India. Many others may know her as a member of Adda52 Pro Live Team. The beautiful girl from Delhi, Nikita in fact wears many hats. She is known for both on the felt as well as off the felt feats in poker industry.
Nikita is really attractive and featured in India Vogue, which is of course a selling point in a country where the Bollywood rules. The petite lady poker pro is a foodie, traveler, feminist and professional poker player. She is quite vocal about equality for women in poker. While she did her schooling from Sanskrit School in Delhi, she spent her college days obtaining the Bachelor of Commerce (B.Com) from Delhi University. Before getting into the world of professional poker, she joined Red Bull as a Brand Manager for a year. Later, she worked as a Marketing Manager with Philip Morris International. Very soon, she departed her profession in the pursuit of something that appealed to her. Living in India, she frequently visited poker rooms to play poker, which soon became her passion and she started playing the game on full time basis in 2014, leaving her previous jobs and moving into full time poker.
Nikita is a long time poker player. She picked up the game when she was still in the college. She went on to play both live and online poker tournaments before she won the Ladies Finale event at the 2015 India Poker Championship at Deltin Royale Goa. She made big headlines back in October 2016 when she joined the Pro Live Team of Adda52.com-India’s largest poker site to represent India as an Adda52 Pro Live in both online and offline tournaments taking place in India and around the world. She continues still doing her good work as a member of Adda52 Pro Live along with other notable pros- the 15K 6-Max PLO Champion Kunal Patni, the 10K Kickoff Champion Tarun Goyal and Amit Jain who won a $ 400 + 40 No Limit Hold’em event at APT – Asian Poker Series Philippines back in April 2015.
Nikita Luther rose on international poker landscape on becoming the first Indian woman to win an international title at MPC 26 in Macau. Yes, she recently won the HK$4,000 No Limit Hold’em-Teams Event along with Raghav Bansal at the Macau Poker Cup (MPC) 26. Both Luther and Bansal defeated Liming Zhang and Toshimitsu Kamei in the heads-up to claim first-ever the Teams Event title for India.
